What This Issue Means

On some Aventon Aventure and Aventure.2 bikes, the battery cover may interfere with the battery power button. This can affect whether the battery turns on or off correctly.

Possible Causes

  • battery cover interfering with the battery power button

  • battery cover not aligned correctly

  • battery not turning on with the cover removed

Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1 – Remove the Battery

Use your key to unlock and remove the battery from the bike.

Catch the top of the battery first, then lift the bottom section out so the battery does not fall.

If yes

Continue to Step 2.

If no

Do not force the battery. Contact support.

Step 2 – Remove the Battery Cover

Undo the single screw holding the battery cover in place, then slide the cover off.

The clear plastic over the battery button may catch while the cover is sliding off. Press down on the battery button while sliding the cover over it.

If yes

Continue to Step 3.

If no

Do not force the cover. Contact support.

Step 3 – Test the Battery Button With the Cover Removed

With the battery cover removed, press the battery power button.

If the battery turns on

The issue is likely related to the battery cover position. Continue to Step 4.

If the battery does not turn on

Please contact our support team with the photos/videos listed below so we can review the next step.

Step 4 – Reinstall the Battery Cover

Reinstall the cover by pressing and holding the battery button down, then sliding the cover back onto the battery.

Realign the cover properly and screw it back into place.

If yes

Continue to Step 5.

If no

Do not force the cover. Contact support.

Step 5 – Test the Battery Button Again

Press the battery power button with the cover reinstalled.

If the issue clears

The battery cover was likely not aligned correctly. Monitor the battery during normal use.
