  • continue to Step 2

If no

If you cannot update the app:

Step 2 – Reconnect the eBike to the Aventon App

Open the Aventon app and reconnect your eBike.

  • the W09 error clears after reconnecting

If yes

If the W09 error clears:

  • continue using the bike normally

  • monitor the bike and app connection

If no

If the W09 error remains:

  • continue to Step 3

If the issue clears

The issue was likely caused by an app connection or software communication issue.

Step 3 – Update the eBike Firmware

Using the Aventon app, check whether electrical firmware updates are available for the eBike.

If updates are available:

  • update all available electrical firmware to the latest version using the Aventon app

  • keep the bike powered on during the update process

  • do not disconnect the app during updates

After the update is complete:

  • restart the bike

  • reconnect to the Aventon app

  • check whether the W09 error remains

If yes

If the W09 error clears after updating:

  • continue monitoring the bike and app connection
