Aventon Pace .2 / Pace .3 – Battery Fitment AdjustmentUpdated 2 days ago

This article explains how to adjust battery fitment on Aventon Pace .2 and Pace .3 models.

Use this article if your bike:

  • has a battery that feels loose

  • has a battery that does not sit firmly in the frame

  • has a battery that does not release or reinstall smoothly

Before You Start

Prepare:

  • order number

  • Aventon model

  • photo/video of the battery fitment issue

  • Phillips head screwdriver

  • photos of visible damage, if any

Do not continue if the battery, terminals, frame, or lock area look damaged.

What This Issue Means

The battery case screws may need tightening so the battery fits more securely in the bike frame and releases smoothly.

Possible Causes

  • loose battery case screws

  • battery not seated correctly

  • battery not releasing smoothly

Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1 – Remove the Battery

Remove the battery from the bike.

If yes

Continue to Step 2.

If no

Contact support.


Step 2 – Tighten the Upper Battery Screws

Using a Phillips head screwdriver, tighten the 4 screws on the upper end of the battery.

Turn each screw clockwise up to 2 rotations.

If yes

Continue to Step 3.

If no

Do not force the screws. Contact support.


Step 3 – Tighten the Bottom Battery Screws

Using a Phillips head screwdriver, tighten the 4 screws on the bottom end of the battery.

Turn each screw clockwise up to 2 rotations.

If yes

Continue to Step 4.

If no

Do not force the screws. Contact support.


Step 4 – Reinstall the Battery

Place the battery back into the bike’s battery compartment and lock it into place.

If yes

Continue to Step 5.

If no

Contact support.


Step 5 – Test Battery Release

Insert the key and rotate it to unlock the battery.

Check that the battery releases and reinstalls smoothly without sticking.

If the issue clears

The battery fitment adjustment is complete. Continue monitoring the battery during normal use.

If the issue remains
