Kaabo Mantis 10 – LT01 Display Error Code TroubleshootingUpdated 15 hours ago

This article explains how to troubleshoot common error codes on the Kaabo Mantis 10 single-drive models using the LT01 display system.

Use this article if your scooter shows:

  • E06 undervoltage protection
  • E07 motor Hall sensor fault
  • E08 throttle fault
  • E09 controller fault
  • E10 communication fault

Before You Start

Please prepare the following before troubleshooting:

  • Your order number
  • A clear photo or video of the issue
  • A photo or video of the error code shown on the display
  • A photo of the display
  • A video showing throttle or motor behaviour
  • Confirmation of:
    • whether the scooter powers on
    • whether the battery charges
    • whether the motor engages
    • whether the issue started after:
      • riding
      • charging
      • storage
      • transport
      • rain or water exposure
      • crash or impact
      • modification
      • display replacement
      • third-party repair

Important Safety Warnings

  • Do not continue riding if the scooter has motor resistance, overheating, visible wiring damage, smoke, burning smell, or water exposure.
  • Do not work on wiring while the scooter is powered on or charging.
  • Do not force connectors together.
  • Do not open sealed battery components.
  • Stop and contact support if you are unsure about any step.

E06 – Undervoltage Protection

What This Error Means

E06 indicates the scooter voltage has dropped below the protection threshold.

Possible causes include:

  • Low battery charge
  • Battery fault
  • Incorrect P1 voltage setting
  • Controller fault

Step 1 – Charge the scooter fully

  1. Charge the scooter fully.
  2. Confirm the charger operates normally.
  3. Test ride the scooter safely.

If the scooter operates normally after charging

The issue was likely caused by low battery charge.

Continue monitoring battery performance.

If the scooter quickly loses power again

The battery may require further inspection.

Please contact support with:

  • Charger behaviour video
  • Battery percentage before and after riding
  • Approximate riding distance achieved

Step 2 – Check the P1 voltage setting

Inspect the P1 voltage setting on the display.

For 48V models:

  • P1 must be set correctly for a 48V scooter

If the P1 setting is incorrect

Correct the setting and test the scooter again.

If the E06 error still appears after correcting the setting

The controller may require further inspection.

Please contact support.

E07 – Motor Hall Sensor Fault

What This Error Means

E07 indicates a Hall sensor communication fault between the motor and controller.

Possible causes include:

  • Loose Hall sensor connector
  • Damaged motor wiring
  • Motor fault
  • Controller fault

Step 1 – Inspect the motor Hall sensor wiring

  1. Open the battery compartment cover.
  2. Inspect the motor Hall sensor connector.
  3. Check for:
    • loose wiring
    • unplugged connectors
    • contamination
    • bent pins
    • damaged cable insulation

If loose wiring or contamination is found

Clean the connector and reconnect it securely.

If cable insulation is damaged

Wrap the damaged section using high-temperature resistant insulating tape.

If the issue remains after reconnecting the wiring

The motor or controller may require further inspection.

Please contact support with:

  • Photos of the wiring
  • A video showing the error
  • Photos of visible cable damage

E08 – Throttle Fault

What This Error Means

E08 indicates a throttle communication or throttle signal issue.

Possible causes include:

  • Modified wiring
  • Display fault
  • Loose wiring connection
  • Controller fault
  • Main display harness fault

Step 1 – Check for modifications or wiring changes

Inspect the scooter for:

  • modified wiring
  • added electronics
  • aftermarket accessories

If modifications are found

Restore the scooter to its original wiring configuration and test again.

If no modifications are found

Inspect the display connector.

Step 2 – Inspect the display waterproof connector

  1. Turn the scooter off.
  2. Disconnect the display waterproof connector.
  3. Check for:
    • bent pins
    • contamination
    • loose terminals

If bent pins or contamination are found

Carefully clean or straighten the connector.

Reconnect the display and test again.

If the issue remains

The display may require further inspection.

Please contact support.

If the connector appears normal

Inspect the green wire connection at the XHB8 connector.

Step 3 – Inspect the green wire connection

  1. Open the controller compartment cover.
  2. Locate the XHB8 connector between the display main line and junction box.
  3. Gently inspect the green wire connection for:
    • looseness
    • incorrect wiring
    • bent pins

If loose or incorrect wiring is found

Reconnect the wiring securely and test again.

If the issue remains after reconnecting the wiring

The controller or display main harness may require further inspection.

Please contact support.

E09 – Controller Fault

What This Error Means

E09 indicates a controller communication or controller connection fault.

Possible causes include:

  • Loose controller wiring
  • Controller fault

Step 1 – Inspect the controller wiring

  1. Open the controller compartment cover.
  2. Locate the XHB9 connector between the controller and junction box.
  3. Check for:
    • loose wiring
    • partially connected terminals
    • bent pins
    • incorrect wiring

If loose or incorrect wiring is found

Reconnect the wiring securely and test the scooter again.

If the E09 error remains after reconnecting the wiring

The controller may require further inspection.

Please contact support with:

  • Photos of the controller area
  • A video showing the E09 error
