This article explains how to troubleshoot K1 display fault codes on the Kaabo Wolf Warrior X Plus 2026.

Use this article if your scooter shows:

  • E30 communication error

  • E04 throttle error

  • E05 undervoltage protection

  • E02 motor Hall error

  • E06 controller error

  • E01 motor Hall error

  • E08 high temperature protection

Before You Start

Please prepare:

  • Your order number

  • A photo or video of the error code

  • A photo of the display

  • Whether the scooter powers on

  • Whether the motor engages

  • Whether the battery charges

  • Whether the scooter has been modified, crashed, exposed to water, repaired by a third party, or had the display replaced

  • Photos of any visible cable or connector damage

Safety reminders:

  • Do not continue riding with a persistent error code.

  • Do not ride if there is motor resistance, overheating, smoke, burning smell, visible wiring damage, or water exposure.

  • Do not work on wiring while the scooter is powered on or charging.

  • Do not force connectors together.

  • Stop and contact support if unsure.

E30 Communication Error

This means the display is not communicating correctly with the scooter.

Possible causes:

  • Added electronics or wiring changes

  • Incorrect display fitted

  • Bent display connector pins

  • Loose wiring

  • Controller issue

  • Display main cable issue

Step 1 – Check for modifications

Check whether any electronics have been added, removed, or modified.

If yes

Remove the added electronics and restore the scooter wiring to its original setup if safe to do so.

Then restart the scooter.

If no

Continue to Step 2.

Step 2 – Check the display type

The Kaabo Wolf Warrior X Plus 2026 with K1 display should have 3 gears.

If the display shows 3 gears

Continue to Step 3.

If the display shows 5 gears

The wrong display may be fitted. Contact support with a photo of the display.

Step 3 – Check the display connector

Turn the scooter off.

If safely accessible, check the display waterproof plug for bent pins, dirt, damage, or poor connection.

If the connector looks damaged or pins are bent

Do not force it together. Contact support with clear photos of the connector.

If the connector looks normal

Reconnect it carefully and restart the scooter.

If the issue is resolved

Monitor the scooter.

If the issue remains

This next step requires further inspection. Please contact support with the photos/videos listed below.

E04 Throttle Error

This means the scooter is detecting a throttle fault.

Possible causes:

  • Wiring changes

  • Display issue

  • Bent display connector pins

  • Loose throttle/display wiring

  • Controller issue

  • Display main cable issue

Step 1 – Check for wiring changes

Check whether the scooter has been modified or had wiring changed.

If yes

Restore the wiring to its original setup if safe to do so, then restart the scooter.

If no

Continue to Step 2.

Step 2 – Check the display connector

Turn the scooter off.

If safely accessible, unplug and inspect the display waterproof connector for bent pins or damage.

If pins are bent or damaged

Do not force the connector. Contact support with photos.

If the connector looks normal

Reconnect it carefully and restart the scooter.

If the issue is resolved

Monitor the scooter.

If the issue remains

This next step requires further inspection of the throttle/display wiring, controller, or main cable. Contact support.

E05 Undervoltage Protection

This means the scooter is detecting low voltage.

Possible causes:

  • Battery charge is too low

  • Battery issue

  • Incorrect display voltage setting

  • Controller issue

Step 1 – Charge the scooter

Charge the scooter fully, then restart it.

If E05 disappears

The scooter was likely low on charge. Monitor the scooter.

If E05 remains

Continue to Step 2.

Step 2 – Check whether the battery drains unusually fast

After charging, check whether the scooter shuts down quickly or shows E05 again after only a short flat-road ride.

If yes

The battery may require further inspection. Contact support.

If no

Continue to Step 3.

Step 3 – Check the display voltage setting

Check the display voltage setting.

For this 60V model, the P8 voltage setting should be 60V.

If P8 is set to 60V

Continue to Step 4.

If P8 is not set to 60V

Set P8 to 60V, then restart the scooter.

If the issue is resolved

Monitor the scooter.

If the issue remains

This next step requires further inspection of the controller. Contact support.

E02 Motor Hall Error

This means the scooter is detecting a motor Hall sensor fault.

Possible causes:

  • Loose rear motor Hall wire

  • Dirt or foreign material in the connector

  • Damaged motor cable

  • Rear motor issue

  • Controller issue

Step 1 – Stop riding

Do not continue riding with this error.

Step 2 – Check visible motor wiring

With the scooter powered off, check any safely visible motor cable for damage, cuts, or exposed wiring.

If there is visible cable damage

Do not ride the scooter. Contact support with photos.

If there is no visible damage

This next step requires further inspection of the rear motor Hall wiring, motor, and controller. Contact support.

E06 Controller Error

This means the scooter is detecting a controller fault.

Possible causes:

  • Loose controller/junction box connection

  • Controller issue

Step 1 – Restart the scooter

Turn the scooter off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.

If E06 disappears

Monitor the scooter.

If E06 remains

Do not continue riding. This next step requires further inspection of the controller connection and controller. Contact support.

E01 Motor Hall Error

This means the scooter is detecting a motor Hall or motor connection fault.

Possible causes:

  • Loose motor phase wire connection

  • Controller issue

  • Display issue

Step 1 – Stop riding

Do not continue riding with this error.

Step 2 – Check visible motor wiring

With the scooter powered off, check any safely visible motor cable for damage, cuts, or exposed wiring.

If there is visible cable damage

Do not ride the scooter. Contact support with photos.

If there is no visible damage

This next step requires further inspection of the motor phase wiring, controller, and K1 display. Contact support.

E08 High Temperature Protection

This means the scooter has detected overheating.

Possible causes:

  • Heavy or extreme riding

  • Controller temperature is too high

  • Motor/controller wiring issue

Step 1 – Stop riding and cool the scooter

Stop riding immediately.

Turn the scooter off and leave it to cool for about 30 minutes.

If E08 disappears after cooling

The scooter may have overheated during heavy use. Ride gently and monitor it.

If E08 returns

Do not continue riding. Contact support.

If E08 appears even when the scooter has not been ridden hard

This next step requires further inspection of the motor/controller wiring. Contact support.

When To Contact Support

Contact support if:

  • The error remains after the basic checks

  • You are unsure how to complete a step

  • The scooter has visible cable or connector damage

  • There was water exposure, crash, impact, modification, display replacement, or third-party repair

  • The display shows 5 gears instead of 3

  • The issue may involve the display, throttle, controller, motor, Hall wiring, main cable, battery, or internal wiring

  • The scooter is unsafe to ride
