This article explains how to troubleshoot lamp control system issues on the Kaabo Wolf Warrior X Plus 2026.
Use this article if your scooter:
Has a brake light that stays on
Has one brake lever that does not activate the brake light
Has lights working but the horn does not sound
Has lights working but the headlight does not turn on
Has one tail light, spotlight, turn signal, or light bar not working
Has normal lights turning on while the display is off
Before You Start
Please prepare:
Your order number
A photo or video of the issue
A photo of the display, if applicable
A video showing brake, light, horn, or turn signal behaviour
Whether the scooter powers on
Whether the battery charges
Whether the motor engages
Whether the issue happened after riding, charging, storage, transport, crash, impact, rain, water exposure, modification, display replacement, added electronics, or third-party repair
Photos of visible damage, if any
Safety reminders:
Do not continue riding if the scooter has visible wiring damage, smoke, burning smell, water exposure, or a serious unresolved fault.
Do not work on wiring while the scooter is powered on or charging.
Do not force connectors together.
Stop and contact support if unsure.
Brake Light Stays On When the Brakes Are Not Pressed
This means the scooter may be detecting one brake lever as active even when it is not being pressed.
Possible causes:
Left brake lever sensor issue
Right brake lever sensor issue
Brake cut-off connector issue
Step 1 – Confirm the brake light behaviour
Turn the display on.
Do not press either brake lever.
If the brake light turns off normally
The issue is not currently present. Monitor the scooter.
If the brake light stays on
Do not continue riding.
This next step requires further inspection of the left and right brake cut-off connectors. Please contact support with a video showing the brake light staying on without either brake lever being pressed.
Right Brake Activates the Brake Light, But Left Brake Does Not
This means the right brake signal is working, but the left brake signal may not be reaching the scooter.
Possible causes:
Left brake lever connection issue
Left brake lever issue
Left brake main cable issue
Step 1 – Test the left brake lever
Turn the display on.
Press and hold the left brake lever.
Check whether an exclamation mark ! appears on the display.
If yes
The scooter is detecting the left brake lever.
If the brake light still does not work correctly, contact support with a video of the test.
If no
The left brake signal may not be reaching the scooter.
This next step requires further inspection of the left brake lever wiring and main cable. Please contact support with a video showing the left brake lever being pressed and the display not showing the brake symbol.
Left Brake Activates the Brake Light, But Right Brake Does Not
This means the left brake signal is working, but the right brake signal may not be reaching the scooter.

Right brake lever connection issue

Step 1 – Test the right brake lever
Turn the display on.
Press and hold the right brake lever.
Check whether an exclamation mark ! appears on the display.
If yes
The scooter is detecting the right brake lever.
If the brake light still does not work correctly, contact support with a video of the test.
If no
The right brake signal may not be reaching the scooter.

Lights Work, But the Horn Does Not Sound
This means the lamp system is operating, but the horn circuit is not working correctly.
Possible causes:
Crushed or damaged horn wire
Loose horn connection
Multifunction switch wiring issue
Horn issue
Junction box issue
Multifunction switch issue
Step 1 – Check visible horn wiring
Turn the scooter off.
Check any safely visible horn wire for crushing, cuts, exposed wiring, or obvious indentation.
If there is visible damage
Do not use the horn or continue riding if wiring is exposed. Contact support with clear photos.
If there is no visible damage
Continue to Step 2.
Step 2 – Test the horn
Turn the scooter on.
Press the horn button.
If the horn works
The issue is resolved. Monitor the scooter.
If the horn still does not work
This next step requires further inspection of the horn wiring, multifunction switch, junction box, and horn. Please contact support with a video showing the horn button being pressed.
Lights Work, But the Headlight Does Not Turn On
This means the scooter lighting system is active, but the headlight is not working.
Possible causes:
Crushed or damaged headlight wire
Loose headlight connection
Headlight issue
Junction box issue
Step 1 – Check visible headlight wiring
Turn the scooter off.
Check any safely visible headlight wire for crushing, cuts, exposed wiring, or obvious indentation.
If there is visible damage
Do not ride the scooter. Contact support with clear photos.
If there is no visible damage
Continue to Step 2.
Step 2 – Test the headlight switch
Turn the scooter on.
Turn the headlight on.
If the headlight turns on
The issue is resolved. Monitor the scooter.
If the headlight does not turn on
This next step requires further inspection of the headlight wiring, headlight, and junction box. Please contact support with a video showing the headlight switch being used.
Right Rear Tail Light Does Not Turn On
This means the rest of the lighting system works, but the right rear tail light does not.
Possible causes:
Loose right rear tail light connection
Right rear tail light issue
Step 1 – Confirm the issue
Turn the scooter on and check whether the other lights work normally.
If other lights are also not working
Contact support with a video showing all affected lights.
If only the right rear tail light is not working
This next step requires further inspection of the right rear tail light connection and tail light. Please contact support with a video of the issue.
Left Rear Tail Light Does Not Turn On
This means the rest of the lighting system works, but the left rear tail light does not.

Loose left rear tail light connection
Left rear tail light issue

If other lights are also not working

If only the left rear tail light is not working

Left Front Spotlight Does Not Turn On
This means the rest of the lighting system works, but the left front spotlight does not.

Right Front Spotlight Does Not Turn On
This means the rest of the lighting system works, but the right front spotlight does not.

Left Turn Signal Does Not Flash
This means the running lights work, but the left indicator does not flash when selected.
Possible causes:
Multifunction switch wiring issue
Left turn signal connection issue

Step 1 – Check the left turn signal indicator
Turn the display on.
Turn on the left turn signal.
Check whether the left turn signal indicator lights up.
If the indicator does not light up

If the indicator lights up but the left turn signal does not flash

Right Turn Signal Does Not Flash
This means the running lights work, but the right indicator does not flash when selected.
Possible causes:
Multifunction switch wiring issue
Right turn signal connection issue
Junction box issue
Multifunction switch main cable issue
Step 1 – Check the right turn signal indicator
Turn the display on.
Turn on the right turn signal.
Check whether the right turn signal indicator lights up.
If the indicator does not light up

If the indicator lights up but the right turn signal does not flash

Left Light Bar Does Not Turn On
This means the scooter lighting system works, but the left side light bar does not illuminate.
Possible causes:
Loose left light bar connection
Left light bar issue
Light bar controller issue
Step 1 – Check the running light switch
Turn the scooter on.
Turn on the running light switch.
For some older versions, the light bar switch may be separate and located near the charging port side.
If the left light bar turns on
The issue is resolved. Monitor the scooter.
If the left light bar does not turn on
Continue to Step 2.
Step 2 – Check whether the right light bar works
If the right light bar also does not work
Contact support with a video showing both light bars.
If the right light bar works but the left light bar does not
This next step requires further inspection of the left light bar connection, left light bar, and light bar controller. Please contact support with a video of the issue.
Right Light Bar Does Not Turn On
This means the scooter lighting system works, but the right side light bar does not illuminate.
Possible causes:
Loose right light bar connection
Right light bar issue
Light bar controller issue
Step 1 – Check the running light switch
Turn the scooter on.
Turn on the running light switch.
For some older versions, the light bar switch may be separate and located near the charging port side.
If the right light bar turns on
The issue is resolved. Monitor the scooter.
If the right light bar does not turn on
Continue to Step 2.
Step 2 – Check whether the left light bar works
If the left light bar also does not work
Contact support with a video showing both light bars.
If the left light bar works but the right light bar does not
This next step requires further inspection of the right light bar connection, right light bar, and light bar controller. Please contact support with a video of the issue.
Lights Turn On While the Display Is Off
This means the normal lights can still turn on even when the display is switched off.
Possible causes:
Display internal fault
Step 1 – Confirm the issue
Turn the display off.
Try turning the normal lights on.
If the lights do not turn on
The issue is not currently present. Monitor the scooter.
If the lights turn on while the display is off
The display may require further inspection. Contact support with a video showing the display off and the lights turning on.

There was water exposure, crash, impact, modification, or third-party repair

The scooter is unsafe to ride
