PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The manual identifies these parts:

SETTING UP THE SCOOTER

Tightening points

  • Tighten the handlebar bolt located at the center between the grips.
  • Tighten the wheel bolts located at the center of each rim, left and right.

Unfolding and folding

  • Push the folding mechanism upward.
  • While doing that, push the handlebar up or down as needed.
  • The manual shows the same process used in reverse for folding.

Adjusting handlebar height

  • Press the metal pin-locker while adjusting the handlebar up or down.
  • Release it into the desired height position.

RIDING THE SCOOTER

Using the thumb throttle

  • The electric motor engages only once the throttle button is pressed and held while pushing the scooter forward to get momentum.
  • Once engaged, the motor makes a beep sound.
  • Keep holding the throttle to continue riding.
  • Releasing the throttle disengages the motor.
  • The scooter then makes another beep to indicate the motor is turned off.

Using the rear foot brake

  • To reduce speed or stop, push the rear brake with your heel.
  • Releasing the throttle button can also reduce speed.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

  • Only use the included charger.
  • Plug the charger into a suitable electrical socket first, then connect the cable to the scooter’s charging port.
  • Do not turn on the scooter while it is charging.
  • Charge the battery until the indicator light on the wall charger turns green.
  • Once fully charged, re-attach the charging port cover.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Riding range

The manual states that the maximum range is 6 kilometers, and notes that range can be affected by:

  • Driving surface
  • Rider weight
  • Temperature
  • Maintenance
  • Speed and riding style

Cleaning

  • Wipe the scooter carefully with a damp cloth.
  • Then dry it with a dry cloth.
  • Do not use water to clean the scooter, as the electrical and electronic systems may get wet and cause injury or malfunction.

Battery care

  • Keep away from fire and excessive heat.
  • Avoid intense physical shock, severe vibration, or impact.
  • Protect from water or moisture.
  • Do not disassemble the scooter or its battery.
  • If there are any battery issues, contact Kimi Customer Support.

Storage

  • Fully charge the battery before storing.
  • Fully charge the battery once a month after that.
  • Cover the scooter to protect against dust.
  • Store the scooter indoors in a dry place.

DISPOSAL OF USED BATTERY

  • The battery may contain hazardous substances that could endanger the environment and human health.
  • The crossed-bin symbol indicates the battery and/or packaging must be disposed of at an appropriate collection point for recycling.
  • Proper disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.
  • For more information about recycling used batteries, contact your local municipality waste disposal service.

SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Devices are not intended for use at elevations greater than 2000 m above sea level.
  • Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain, and elements may damage enclosure materials. Store indoors when not in use.
  • Risk of fire. No user serviceable parts.
  • Read the user manual and safety warnings carefully before use.
  • The elderly, pregnant women, and those with heart conditions should not use the product.
  • The rider should not exceed 55 kg / 121 lbs.
  • Do not ride at night.
  • Do not use near motor vehicles.
  • Do not ride after consuming alcohol, drugs, or while intoxicated.
  • Do not ride if you have head, back, neck ailments, or prior surgeries to those areas.
  • Riders with physical conditions that may make them susceptible to injury or impair their ability to recognize, understand, and follow safety instructions should not use the product.

RIDING SAFETY

  • Do not carry items when riding.
  • Always wear shoes, a helmet, and appropriate safety gear.
  • Prior to each ride, inspect each part of the product to ensure it has been maintained correctly and is functioning properly.
  • Tighten all screws and locking nuts before each ride to ensure they are tight.
  • Always give way to pedestrians.
  • Always comply with local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Be alert to things in front of and far away from you.
  • Make sure your feet are always placed securely on the deck.
  • The product cannot be ridden by more than one person.
  • When riding along with others, always keep a safe distance to avoid collision.
  • When turning, be sure to maintain your balance.
  • Do not allow distractions while riding, such as answering the phone or engaging in other activities.
  • Avoid riding in the rain or on slick surfaces such as snow or ice.
  • Do not ride on roads with obstacles such as litter, shells, or stones.
  • Avoid riding in narrow spaces or on steep slopes.
  • Avoid riding around flammable gas, steam, liquid, or dust that could cause fire.
  • Never operate the product barefoot and keep shoelaces tied.
  • Riding with improperly adjusted brakes is dangerous and can result in serious injury or death.
  • Applying brakes too hard or too suddenly can lock up a wheel, causing loss of control and a fall. Sudden or excessive brake application may result in injury or death.
  • Do not ride without proper training.
  • Do not ride at high speeds, on uneven terrain, or on slopes.
  • Do not perform stunts or turn abruptly.
  • The area the product is to be operated should be safe and suitable for safe operation.
  • Check whether all safety labels are in place and understood before riding.
  • The owner shall allow the use and operation of the unit after demonstrating that operators can understand and operate all components before use.
  • Operators shall adhere to all manufacturer recommendations and instructions, as well as comply with all laws and ordinances.
  • Only ride the product with adequate daylight conditions for visibility.

ADDITIONAL CAUTIONS

  • Keep your hands on the handlebars at all times.
  • Make sure all screws are tightened and all clamps and locks are properly secured before riding.
  • Visibility aids such as lighting, reflectors, and signal flags are encouraged.
  • If the device or internal components come in contact with water or moisture, do not use it and contact Kimi Customer Support for assistance.

MODIFICATIONS

  • Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, repair, or replace the product or any components without instruction from Customer Support.
  • Doing so voids the warranty and can lead to malfunctions which may cause injury.

ADDITIONAL OPERATION CAUTIONS

  • Do not lift the product off the ground while it is on and the wheels are in motion.
  • This can result in freely spinning wheels, which may cause injury to yourself or others nearby.
  • Do not jump on or off the product.
  • Always keep your feet firmly planted on the deck while in operation.
  • Always check the battery charge before using.

WARRANTY

  • The manufacturer warrants this product to be free of manufacturing defects for 90 days from the date of purchase.
  • This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, tires, tubes, or cables, or any damage, failure, or loss caused by improper assembly and poor maintenance.
