MANUAL
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The manual labels these parts on the scooter:
- Dashboard

SETTING UP THE SCOOTER
- Lock the folding mechanism and open the kickstand.
- Install the handlebar to the vertical tube.
- Charge the scooter. The manual indicates it will turn on automatically.
- Install the six screws.
- The handlebar screws are shown with a tightening torque of 4–5 N·m.
NIU APP / ACTIVATION
The manual shows that the scooter connects through the NIU Electric / NIU E-Scooter App by Bluetooth.
From the app section shown in the manual:
- Scan the QR code
- Install the NIU E-Scooter App
- Follow the prompts to bind / connect the scooter
- Press and hold the power button to turn the scooter on
- The Bluetooth symbol flashes during pairing
- The scooter can be locked through the app
- The manual also shows an alarm when locking and a red flashing rear light while locked
BEFORE RIDING
The manual shows a “before riding” section that includes:
- Turn the power on and check the power display
- Check that the folding mechanism and components are correctly secured
- Check that the wheels rotate normally
- Check the tyre condition and tyre pressure
- Check the brake system before riding

- Charge in a dry, stable, well-ventilated place
- Do not use the scooter if the charger cable is wet
- Do not let water get into the charging port
- Make sure the charging port cover is secured
- The manual recommends storing the battery at around 30% to 70% charge for longer storage
- Charge the battery at least once every two months during storage
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The cleaning section shown in the manual includes:
- Wipe the scooter with a soft, damp cloth
- For stains that are difficult to remove, scrub with a toothbrush and then wipe with a damp cloth
- Do not clean with alcohol, petrol, kerosene, or other corrosive or volatile solvents
- Do not use pressure washers or water sprays
- Before cleaning, make sure the scooter is turned off and the charging port is closed securely, to avoid water entering electrical parts or the battery
The maintenance/storage section also shows:
- Do not use non-original accessories or extra items not approved for the scooter
- Store indoors, in a dry place
- Protect the scooter from long exposure to rain and sun
- Fully charge before long-term storage
- Check tyre pressure before storage or reuse
- If abnormal sounds occur, stop riding and inspect the scooter before continuing
BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
The manual includes a section for adjusting the drum brake.
From the visible instructions:
- If the brake needs adjustment, loosen the brake arm nut with a wrench
- Adjust the brake cable as needed
- Re-tighten the nut clockwise
- Confirm braking force after adjustment and complete the setting properly
MODIFICATIONS
