RIDING INSTRUCTIONS

Starting and gliding

  1. Power on the eKickScooter.

  3. Push off with the other foot to start gliding.

Accelerating

  • Put both feet on the footboard and stand stably.

  • For safety, the motor does not engage until the scooter reaches 1.9 mph (3 km/h).
  • Start Speed can be adjusted through the Segway Mobility App.

Decelerating

  • Slow down by releasing the throttle and squeezing the brake lever.

Steering

  • Slightly turn the handlebar to turn left or right.
  • When turning, press the left or right direction button to activate the signal.
  • Press the same button again to turn the signal off.

Stopping and parking

  • Put down the kickstand when getting off the scooter.

  • Two beeps sound when Cruise Control engages.
  • The Cruise Control icon stays on while active.

  • Anyone borrowing the vehicle should be informed in advance if Cruise Control is enabled.

AUTO HEADLIGHT

  • With the scooter powered on, press the power button to switch to Auto Headlight mode.
  • In Auto Headlight mode, the headlight turns on or off depending on ambient brightness.

ENERGY RECOVERY

Energy Recovery settings in the app:

  • Off
  • Strong
  • Weak

How it works

  • By default, Energy Recovery is set to Off.
  • When enabled, releasing the throttle while riding activates Energy Recovery automatically.
  • The motor then produces reverse electromotive force, slowing the scooter.
  • Strong mode creates more noticeable deceleration.

Important notes

  • Energy Recovery is designed to assist braking, not replace the braking system.
  • Use the brake lever whenever you need to stop or slow down safely.
  • Use extra caution on downhill paths or under special riding conditions.
  • Releasing the throttle on a decline may still result in acceleration due to gravity and inertia, while Energy Recovery also applies decelerative force.
  • Energy Recovery does not engage while Cruise Control is active.
  • After Cruise Control is disengaged, releasing the throttle activates Energy Recovery if it is enabled.
  • Energy Recovery remains enabled until manually turned off in the app.
  • The dashboard does not show Energy Recovery status. It can only be checked and adjusted in the app.
  • Any borrower should be informed of the current Energy Recovery setting.
