LOCKING FUNCTIONS
Incoming Call Notification
- Enable Incoming Call Notification in the Segway-Ninebot App and allow access to mobile phone contacts.
- When the SuperScooter is connected to the app while powered on:
- incoming call number and name appear on the screen
- the buzzer beeps every 3 seconds
- it stops after 3 rounds of beeps
- If the incoming call is answered or hung up on the phone, the screen notification ends as well.
CodeLock
CodeLock can be enabled or disabled in the Segway-Ninebot App from:
- Homepage
- More Functions
- Locking Function
The manual shows two options:
- Pattern CodeLock
- Digital CodeLock
Pattern CodeLock
- Enable the locking function through the app and set a pattern unlocking password.
- Set a 4 to 8 input password using:
- Left Brake Lever
- Right Brake Lever
- Left Control Switch
- Right Control Switch
- Power on the SuperScooter and unlock it by operating the buttons and switches.
- After entering the correct password:
- the scooter powers on automatically
- the buzzer sends two short beeps
- If the password is incorrect:
- “Wrong Password” appears on the screen
- the buzzer sends a long beep
- the rider must enter the password again
Digital CodeLock
- Enable the locking function through the app and set a 4-digit unlocking password.
- The manual notes the password should not be too simple, such as 0000 or 9999.
- Press the power button to wake up the dashboard.
- Enter the password using the direction indicator switch:
- → increases the number by one
- ← decreases the number by one
- Press the Left Control Switch or squeeze the brake lever once to confirm each number entered.
- The rider can rotate the control switch to check the entered password.
- After entering the correct password:
- the scooter powers on automatically
- the buzzer sends two short beeps
- If the password is incorrect:
- “Wrong Password” appears on the screen
- the entered password is also displayed
- the buzzer sends a long beep
- the rider must enter the password again
Failed password attempts
- You can set either Pattern CodeLock or Digital CodeLock.
- If the rider enters an incorrect password three consecutive times:
- “Too Many Times Failure” appears on the screen
- the scooter powers off
- If the password is entered incorrectly a fourth time, the SuperScooter sends an alert.
AirLock
- AirLock can be enabled via the Segway-Ninebot App.
- CodeLock must be set first.
- When the rider approaches the SuperScooter with a mobile phone and enters Bluetooth sensing range:
- the SuperScooter detects and connects to the phone’s Bluetooth signal
- the SuperScooter unlocks
- After unlocking:
- the direction indicators flash twice
- the rider can power on and ride away directly
- If the SuperScooter is not unlocked:
- the direction indicators do not flash
- pressing the power button shows “AirLock Failed”

- the horn alerts at maximum volume
- lights flash
- the driving wheel is locked
ENERGY RECOVERY
In the Segway-Ninebot App, Energy Recovery can be set to:
- Off
- Strong
- Weak
How it works
- By default, Energy Recovery is set to off.
- When enabled, releasing the throttle while riding automatically activates Energy Recovery.
- The motor then produces reverse electromotive force, slowing the vehicle and creating a noticeable deceleration effect.
- When set to strong, deceleration is more evident.
Important notes
- Energy Recovery assists braking and does not replace the braking system.
- Use the brake lever when you need to stop or slow down safely.
- Use extra caution on downhill sections or under special riding conditions.
- Releasing the throttle on a decline may still result in acceleration from gravity and inertia, while Energy Recovery applies decelerative force.
- Energy Recovery does not engage while Cruise Control is active.
- Once Cruise Control is disengaged, releasing the throttle activates Energy Recovery if it is already enabled in the app.
- Once enabled, Energy Recovery stays on until manually turned off in the app.
- The dashboard does not display Energy Recovery status.
- Borrowers should be informed of the current Energy Recovery setting.
- For questions about this function, contact Technical Support.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Always wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads.
- Rider age range shown in the manual: 18–60 years old
- Rider height range shown in the manual: 160–200 cm (5.3–6.6 ft)
- Watch road conditions carefully and allow enough turning space.
- Before each ride, check brake function, battery level, and tyre pressure.
- Hard braking can cause serious danger or injury.
- Only adults should assemble and adjust the SuperScooter.
